Special Secretary in CM Secretariat
The Chhattisgarh government has appointed IAS Rajat Bansal as Public Relations Commissioner (CPR) . Apart from this, the responsibility of Special Secretary has also been given in the CM Secretariat. Rajat Bansal is currently holding additional charge in Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation.
Rajat Bansal is a 2012 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. They hail from Haryana. After completing his computer science engineering degree, he worked in a multinational company. He secured the IPS rank in his first attempt, then became IAS in the second attempt.
Rajat Bansal joined the IAS on September 3, 2012. He got his first posting for field training as Assistant Collector in Raigad district. He became SDM of Rajnandgaon in August 2014.
The CEO of Rajnandgaon became the Zila Panchayat. Then he became the Zila Panchayat CEO in Surajpur district. He was the Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, he has been collectors of Dhamtari, Bastar and Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts.
IAS officer Rajat Bansal’s father was a forest service officer. Rajat Bansal was born on July 25, 1988. He did his schooling from Law Martiniere School Lucknow and DPS School RK Puram Delhi. Rajat Bansal topped the school in Class 10.
